The Carroll and Myrick families are excited to announce the next Family Reunion will be held in Greece, New York,  a suburb of Rochester, New York.  The confirmed dates are Friday, July 25, 2025 to Sunday, July 27, 2025.  As many of you know, our family reunions are a bit unique. We  define  "family"  as "Everybody who is related to us, knows us, loves us, supports us or likes being around us".  The tentative theme of the 2025 Family Reunion is "Everybody's Family Reunion".  Family  and friends close to us are invited to celebrate the expansive network of love, kinship and friendship that has been the foundation of the Carroll and Myrick families.

     Activities to be announced

 

Carroll and Myrick family members, Pat Carroll (TX), Donna Dixon Jones (NY), Debby Brooks (NY), Bobby Myrick (VA) and Michele Berry (DC)  established the Logistics and Communications Committee to set  the foundation of the family reunion. Preliminary duties included selecting the host city, reserving the BBQ site, scouting hotels, soliciting quotes from food vendors, strategizing to contact all family members, coordinating communication and organizing family meetings/committees.  Our family reunion dates, lodge, BBQ Caterer and host hotel are confirmed. See sections below for details.  The per person cost for the BBQ  is $35 per adult (12 and up)  and $20 for children ages 3 to 11. T- shirts $20 for adult sizes S to 5X.  Children t-shirts cost $15 for youth sizes S to XL.  Toddler tees cost $15 and are special order (2T to 4T).  Call Pat to register and order t-shirts.  are -shirts prices will be announced once the vendors are confirmed. The BBQ  is free for attendees under age 3 (except for t-shirts)  and over age 80 (t-shirt is complimentary).  The BBQ is being catered and all attendees must be registered to attend, regardless of age. Payment of 50% is due by February 15, 2025 and the balance by April 15, 2025.

Popcorn Fundraiser: In the spring, we held our first fundraiser and raised $1150.00 in sales and donations.  A significant portion is used for the caterer's deposit. The remaining money will be used for the BBQ for attendees under 3 years old and over 80 years old.  Attendees over 80 will also received a complimentary t-shirt. 

​

The winner of our t-shirt design contest is Deborah Richardson. She is awarded a complimentary BBQ ticket and t-shirt! Her designed pays homage to the Carroll-Myrick connection to photographer George Eastman and the Eastman Kodak company. Thank you for the inspirational design!

What's next?  

Pay your registration fees and book your hotel room. We need family members to help chair the subcommittees and solicit members for committees, such as: Music & Entertainment, Games and Prizes, Fundraising, Decorations, Family Legacy and Hospitality.  Please join our upcoming family meeting (to be scheduled in February) and help us make our 2025 Family Reunion a great success!
